Deep Clean Checklist

Kitchen

  • Clean inside and outside of all cupboards & drawers (wipe shelves, doors, handles)

  • Clean oven (including racks, trays, door glass inside & out)

  • Clean inside microwave, extractor fan & filter

  • Degrease & polish hob, splashbacks and tiles

  • Clean and descale kettle & toaster (outside)

  • Deep-clean fridge & freezer (inside & out, including seals – please empty beforehand if possible)

  • Wash or wipe all small appliances (e.g. coffee machine, air fryer)

  • Clean sink, taps & draining board – polish until shiny

  • Wipe down all surfaces, skirting boards & light switches

  • Clean windows internally & window sills

  • Sweep & mop floor (including moving small items & cleaning under appliances if accessible)

Bathrooms & Toilets

  • Deep descale shower screen, tiles, grout, shower head & taps

  • Scrub & disinfect bath, sink, toilet (including behind & under)

  • Clean mirrors & polish all chrome

  • Clean inside/outside of cabinets & shelves

  • Remove limescale from taps & fittings

  • Clean extractor fan cover

  • Wipe down towel rails, toilet-roll holders, light switches & door handles

  • Clean windows internally & window sills

  • Mop & disinfect floor (including corners & behind toilet)

Bedrooms & Living Areas

  • Dust & polish all furniture, shelves, picture frames & ornaments

  • Wipe skirting boards, door frames, light switches & handles

  • Clean mirrors & internal windows

  • Clean window sills & ledges

  • Vacuum upholstery (sofas, chairs, mattresses if requested)

  • Vacuum or mop under beds & furniture (where accessible)

  • Clean inside wardrobes & drawers (if emptied in advance)

  • Dust lampshades & light fittings

  • Sweep & mop or deep vacuum floors & carpets (including edges & under rugs)

Hallways, Stairs & Landings

  • Dust banisters, picture rails & high cobwebs

  • Wipe skirting boards & light switches

  • Clean internal windows & sills

  • Vacuum or mop floors thoroughly (including stairs)
